Looking at possibly buy a track and start a group/league/club in Maryland

Okay so I can't find a club or group in Maryland so Ive been thinking about possibly buying a track and starting one if I can find people. Besides here where's a good place to find people?

 

Contact your local cub scout district. I'm sure you'll find dads there that will want to race.

 

You don't need a group or club local to you to race. There are three leagues (that I know of) that you can send your cars off to and they race just about every month.

 

Minimum 3 lane best track, quality polish, permanent set up with a good race management, start local, good defined rules a few simple good base classes, a utube account and forum where you disseminate race information, formulate a good proxy program, and run your races your way you could become a good up start. It has to be for the love of the race. Guessing there are only 100 or so current pros racing with lots of dads that troll the forums and at least one full time troll that gives out advise and never runs his own car just telling new guys regurgitation of what he's read....
If you want to do it make sure to invite me IM style once your up and running I love to run every race I can. Every small venue could bring another 10 guys or so into the hobby and thats what we need is growth....and Participation. Alot of talk....we need walkers.
